The unframed, signed by artist, drawing entitled The Sunbathe, is a human anatomy study. This pencil rendering makes use of graphite on aged, hot-pressed, 90 pound ream weight, acid-free paper. This drawing measures 8 inches in length by 14 inches in height, and having a dimensional weight of a half pound. Hot-pressed paper is made uniformly flat by passing it thru a press. Ordinary metallic lead pencil sketches are made of graphite mixed with variable amounts of clay according to the degree of tensile strength required to obtain a desired visual effect.
